Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup (150g) broccoli florets
  • 1 cup (150g) snap peas
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Mix until the beef is coated evenly and set it aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a wok or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the wok, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it's browned on all sides and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.
  5. In the same wok, add the sliced bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the wok and toss everything together to combine.
  7. Remove the wok from the heat.
  8. Garnish the Beef Stir-Fry with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Serve the Beef Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles.
